USDA Offers D-SNAP Assistance to California Wildfire Victims

Over 80,000 households in 28 zip codes are eligible.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that residents of Los Angeles County are eligible to participate in its Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP). Approximately 81,477 households in 28 zip codes now qualify for the emergency grocery assistance program, and the USDA encourages victims of the recent wildfires to apply in the second week of February.

“USDA is dedicated to helping Californians as they grapple with the aftermath of the Eaton, Hurst, and Palisades fires by ensuring families have the resources they need to rebuild and recover,” said Acting U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Gary Washington. “We are expediting disaster assistance programs and working closely with state and local partners to provide support to impacted individuals as quickly as possible.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Secretary Washington as he oversees the USDA.
  • For members of the Senate as they consider the nomination of Brooke Rollins for USDA Secretary.
